Alycia Pirmohamed

Alycia Pirmohamed is a Canadian-born poet living in Scotland. She received an MFA from the University of Oregon, and is a current PhD student at the University of Edinburgh, where she is studying poetry written by second-generation immigrants. Her pamphlet, Faces that Fled the Wind, was selected by Camille Rankine for the 2018 BOAAT Press Chapbook Prize, and she has a pamphlet forthcoming with ignitionpress in 2020. Recently, Alycia has been the recipient of the CBC Poetry Prize, the 92Y Discovery Contest and the Sawti Poetry Prize in English. She is the co-founder of the Scottish BAME Writers Network with Jay G. Ying.
