Neil McLennan

Neil McLennan is an author, speaker and education manager. Following a career as a history teacher and in education management he is now Director of Leadership Programmes at University of Aberdeen. Neil’s interest in Wilfred Owen was sparked when he was Head of History in the school Owen taught at whilst recovering from the horrors of the Great War. Neil has spent several years piecing together Owen’s recovery time in Edinburgh and the impact of this on his poetry. He chairs the Wilfred Owen 1917-2017 Edinburgh Committee, which will bring a series of events to Edinburgh to mark the 100th anniversary of the war poets gathering there and drawing inspiration from this literary capital.
