The StAnza Slam

Saturday 4 March, 22:15 - 23:55
The Byre Theatre, Abbey Street - Auditorium
£4.00/£3.00

With MC Paula Varjack

The StAnza Slam has become a highlight of the festival and a touchstone of the Scottish slam scene. A night of thrills is guaranteed – whether you come to compete for the coveted StAnza Slam title or to cheer on the contestants. Guiding us through the night is Paula Varjack, a slam veteran herself and founder of the notorious Anti-Slam, in which poets compete for the title of very worst poem. We’ll be leaving the anti-slamming for post-slam drinks though: bring your best poem, and prepare to work your magic.

To take part, email your name, email address, and mobile number to works@stanzapoetry.org by 18th February 2017. Places are limited.
