New poems by Maitreyabandhu respond to Cezanne paintings in this digital installation

'Talk about art is almost useless’ wrote Paul Cézanne in a letter to Emile Bernard. Maitreyabandhu’s work in progress, a book of poems about Paul Cézanne, rests on that ‘almost’. His new collection (due out in 2019) might almost be a response to Adorno’s dictum '... one can hardly speak of aesthetic matters unaesthetically, devoid of resemblance to the subject matter’. This digital installation features a selection of the poems from the forthcoming with images of the Cezanne paintings to which Maitreyabandhu is responding.

Images featured are with permission of the National Gallery London and the Courtauld Institute of Art
