Site-specific poems from a new anthology

William Seighart has gathered tried-and-true prescriptions for the heart, mind and soul in this new poetry anthology The Poetry Pharmacy (Penguin Particular Books, 2017). It offers poems from poets past and present, including some well-known at StAnza, under categories from “Mental and Emotional Wellbeing” to “Love and Loss”. What better place to encounter some of them than in amongst the potions and treatments from times past in the Preservation Trust Museum’s Old Chemist Shop. For a few minutes of calm during the festival, be sure to drop in for a poetic pick-me-up. And if you’d like to take away your own supply, the anthology is for sale at the festival bookshop at J&G Innes, South Street.
