Poetry in Performance

Friday 3 March, 15:30 - 16:30
The Byre Theatre, Abbey Street - Studio Theatre

Pushing the boundaries of poetry with Sabine Macher and Ásta Fanney Sigurðardóttir, dynamic performers from France and Iceland

Join us for some unexpected performances from two poets whose work challenges conventional definitions of poetry and poetry readings. The German-born, French-based Sabine Macher divides her life between photography, writing and dance, while Ásta Fanney Sigurðardóttir is a poet, performance artist and singer from Iceland. Both poets blur the boundaries between poetry and performance, in performances which are playful, mesmerising, and always surprising.
