An introduction to poetry comics with work by Tom Humberstone and Chrissy Williams

Poetry comics, combining the visual and the written word, offer a fascinating way to explore both art forms—as poet Chrissy Williams points out, both comics and poems revolve around the significance of the line. Tom Humberstone has been creating poetry comics with Chrissy Williams for several years. Together, they edited the collection Over The Line: An Introduction to Poetry Comics (Sidekick Books). This exhibition will showcase the work Tom creates for these intriguing and atmospheric pieces, presenting original art and scripts alongside the finished comics.

To learn more about poetry comics in general and the exhibition in particular, join Tom for his Meet the Artist on Thursday afternoon.
