A poetry workshop for children with Rachel Plummer

Join us for mermaids, selkies and messages in bottles! In today’s workshop, aimed at primary school-aged children, we’ll be writing poems responding to sea-themed folklore. We’ll also make messages in bottles and concrete wave poems, as well as writing on poems and sea glass. The workshop is led by poet Rachel Plummer, who runs regular creative writing workshops for children at the Scottish Poetry Library, and whose poetry collection Wain was shortlisted for a Carnegie Award.

All children must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.

Presented in partnership with Fife Cultural Trust Libraries, Arts & Museums, and supported by EventScotland as part of the Year of Coasts and Waters
