Readings from the work of imprisoned poets

Join us for a moment of solidarity at this annual event in which poets appearing at the festival read a selection of poems by imprisoned writers. In celebrating the work of these poets, we refuse to let them be silenced.

Ian Crockatt, Martin Malone and Pauline Prior-Pitt will read from the works of selected imprisoned poets and Jenni Calder will read poems from Scottish PEN's Declarations project. With an introduction to the work of the charity from Jane Archer, Chair of the Scottish PEN Writers at Risk Committee. The event will be chaired by StAnza's honorary president Brian Johnstone.
