Readings from the work of imprisoned poets

Short readings from the work of imprisoned poets, presented by StAnza Hon President and Scottish PEN member Brian Johnstone. Rachael Boast, Polly Atkin and Suria Tei will read a selection of works by poets and writers who have suffered imprisonment for their beliefs, this year featuring Russian poet Irina Ratushinskaya, Chinese poets Liu Xiaobo and Liu Xia, and Turkish writer Ahmet Altan. With a few words about the work of Scottish PEN from Jane Archer and their President Carl MacDougall.
