Images louder than words - hotel rooms from St Andrews to Mongolia and back tell of a life on the poetry trail

Wonderful are the ways of a poetry festival director. From his base in Rotterdam, he travels to places like Tel Aviv, Brussels, Vila Pouca da Beira, Beijing, Medellin, Stockholm or Ulaanbaatar, always staying in hotel rooms, but no two ever the same. His travel memoire, Hotelkamerverhalen (coming soon from De Aarbeidarspers) takes the reader around the world in forty tall tails, illustrated by his own drawings of the hotel rooms he visited along the way, and tells of his diverse, sometimes bizarre, often hilarious encounters with poets, writers, artists and other people working in the arts, but also with taxi drivers, politicians, hotel employees, millionaires, professors, kickboxers, powerhouses, guerrillas, mafia bosses and policemen. This digital installation offers a glimpse into some of the hotel rooms featured.

Please note all digital installations are shown on rotation on a loop during the festival.
