A view from the air: linocuts in progress with work from William Hershaw and Fiona Morton

(c) Roncadora Press/Fiona Morton

An exhibition of artwork and designs from Birds, a new pamphlet from Roncadora Press featuring poems in Scots by William Hershaw and linocuts by Fiona Morton. The pamphlet is designed by Hugh Bryden.

As well as showcasing the finished works, the exhibition includes a display of the linoblocks and tools used, and presents the pamphlet in various stages of preparation from first sketches to finished book, with details of stitching and construction.

Roncadora Press was set up in 2005 by Hugh Bryden to allow him to pursue one-off artist's book projects and explore book ideas incorporating his own writing. Since then Roncadora has expanded into poetry pamphlets featuring a range of writers. Roncadora Press won the Callum Macdonald Memorial Award in 2009 and has been shortlisted several other times.

This exhibition is presented in partnership with St Andrews Preservation Trust and Roncadora Press.
