Collective Poetry Reading

Saturday 10 March, 19:10 - 19:25
Byre Theatre, Abbey Street - Level 2 Foyer

Join us for a moment of solidarity in our collective reading of Stairs and Whispers

Over the last two years, our collective readings have seen over a hundred people (from poets to passers by) reading aloud different poems all at the same time, filling the Byre Theatre with poetry. This year we'll be sharing poems from Stairs and Whispers: D/deaf and Disabled Poets Write Back (Nine Arches Press, 2017), a bold, brave and beautiful anthology which explores and celebrates UK disabled and D/deaf poetics.

Leading the reading will be Georgi Gill and Polly Atkin. No previous experience of reading poetry is necessary, and quiet voices are as welcome as commanding ones, so please do come along to the Byre for this special event.

The Byre Theatre has full disabled access throughout.

Participants: Polly Atkin and Georgi Gill
Polly Atkin: Kay Adkins
