Breakfast at the Poetry Café: Borderlines

Friday 9 March, 10:00 - 11:10
The Byre Theatre, Abbey Street - Studio Theatre
or call the Byre Theatre Box Office on 01334 475000

With Miriam Gamble, Julie Johnstone, Iggy McGovern and Lies Van Gasse

Enjoy your breakfast sunny side up at StAnza’s Poetry Café. Our breakfast discussion events offer a relaxed start to the day with a group of poets and other festival participants exploring this year’s festival themes over coffee and pastries. This morning, join some of this festival’s boundary-breaking poets and practitioners as they discuss poetry across geographical borders as well as the places where poetry meets other artforms. Miriam Gamble and Iggy McGovern are poets who come from either side of Ireland's presently almost invisible border. Julie Johnstone and Lies Van Gasse find territory where poetry and visual art meet.

Supported by Culture Ireland as part of GB18: Promoting Irish Arts in Britain, by the Government of Flanders and Flanders Literature and by Fisher & Donaldson.

Breakfast events include tea, coffee and pastries in the ticket price. Please let us know in advance of any relevant dietary requirements, quoting your ticket number, and we shall do our best to offer you a suitable alternative.
