Poetry from the StAnza school workshops for 2017

This exhibition presents the outcome of a series of school workshops carried out for StAnza by Marjorie Lotfi Gill as part of her wider Belonging Project on flight, journey and the assimilation of refugees.

The school workshops asked children to imagine why refugees might take specific objects (spices, photographs, lace) with them when leaving home, and then to consider what possessions they would take if they had to leave Scotland.

Additional artwork by Felix Bennett

The exhibition will be on show in the foyer at the foot of the staircase leading up to the Council Chamber.

In association with 5 schools: Canongate Primary, Lawhead Primary, Newport Primary, Strathkinness Primary and Madras College
