Another Place

Another Place

The best poetry transports us to another place – making the familiar strange, and vice versa. We’re taking this as our starting point for our first theme for StAnza 2019, in which we showcase poets who look beyond the familiar to explore new places and ideas. At a time in which the concept of ‘the other’ seems ever more charged, and with the world and climate we know changing around us, poetry offers a framework to explore ideas around home, exile and transformation, both literal and metaphorical.
