Participants: Dearbhaill Standún

Dearbhaill Standún was born and raised in Connemara where, from an early age she was steeped in the language and traditions of the area. A native Irish speaker and a talented musician, Dearbhaill is a founder member of the much acclaimed traditional music group Dordán and as a teacher has passed on her love and knowledge of the music to the next generation. In the 1990s, Dearbhaill and her husband, Charlie Troy, created and developed Cnoc Suain, a creative sanctuary and centre for Irish culture and natural heritage near the village of An Spidéal on the Galway coast.
