Esther Morgan is a graduate of the Creative Writing MA at the University of East Anglia. Her first collection, Beyond Calling Distance (Bloodaxe, 2001), won the Aldeburgh Poetry Festival First Collection Prize and was shortlisted for the John Llewellyn Rhys Memorial Prize. Her second, The Silence Living in Houses, was published in 2005 and her third is due in 2011. Drawn to the world of the half seen and barely there, her poetry has been praised for exploring “the turmoil lurking just beneath the surface” (The Guardian).
