This last of the Director’s Cut events bring together two poets from opposite ends of the country. One of the most acclaimed of today’s younger poets and winner of the 2008 T. S. Eliot Prize, Jen Hadfield lives and works in Shetland. She reads with London based Mario Petrucci. His scientific background informs award-winning writing which includes a powerful poetry film on Chernobyl. Both have been invited to read by Brian Johnstone as poets he did not wish to step down as Festival Director without inviting back to the festival.
