The Scottish Enlightenment was characterised by an outpouring of intellectual and scientific accomplishments and literature flourished. However the 18th century was a tumultuous time for Gaelic society and 18th Century Gaelic poetry has to be read and understood within this context. Join two of Scotlandís leading contemporary poets as they discuss Robert Burns and his lowland and Gaelic near contemporaries.
